I bought this kit for my toddler after reading reviews of other similar kits not made by Fisher-Price. I was mostly swayed by the brand and the "working stethoscope" promise. The kit is well-made and durable, with no sharp plastic edges or anything that looks like it could come off and become a choking hazard. The stethoscope does conduct sound, however you really need to press it to someone's chest to hear the heartbeat faintly. I will get a real stethoscope somewhere at a pharmacy to supplement this. Otherwise, all the other tools are fun to use and educational. For anyone considering a start up doctor kit, I recommend buying from a trusted brand so you know the items are of good quality with no unfinished seams/edges or the like.. this is my Fisher-Price Medical Kit reviews

When children 1-4 years old visit with their parents, I like for them to have something to occupy their time. These blocks do the trick. My how the children (and adults) love to play with them. As a teacher, I find the educational value to be excellent. I would recommend them because they help children to recognize the primary colors, building different objects, spacial planning and counting to name a few uses. This Draculaura is more awesome than I realized. The wings she is wearing are attached with a plastic piece that clips onto her shoulders and another piece that clips onto her waist. The section of plastic that runs down her back is made to look like corset lacing and has a cute pink bow at the bottom. One thing I didn't expect with the wings is that they are hinged! You can fold them back more toward her hair, or bring them forward toward her face. Also, the wings sit higher than pictured; The highest tip of her wing is as high as the top of her head. Most importantly, she can be placed on her stand while wearing her wings. Her outfit is beautiful. Her tights fade from black at the bottom to pink at the top. Her shoes have printed lacing on the sides with a heart with bat wings at the top of each. Her pink plastic collar is shaped like a spider web, and can be removed. Her hair might need some restyling since her curls were flattened in the box. She comes with a pink pail, a handheld mask, a skeleton, and a pair of pink bow earrings. The skeleton's head moves, but the body is all one piece. There is a hole in the skeleton's head where you can place one of the bow earrings. Do not miss out on this version of Draculaura. I don't know why other reviewers say this toy doesn't work, because it does! I bought 2 of them for Christmas, and both of them worked just fine. You can test it while still in the packaging (which I did), so it obviously had some sort of battery in it already, and we were playing with it right out of the package. And as long as you keep your mouth close to the microphone area when talking, and hold the "trigger" the entire time, the changed voice is by far louder than your normal voice. You can change the settings to lots of different combinations to get different voices. My six year old nephew had a blast with this, but the funny thing is, the adults enjoyed it just as much as the kids! It has one deep, Darth Vader-type voice, so of course all the adults wanted to say "Luke, I am your father!" into it, LOL. The six year old was walking around telling everyone to "Take me to your leader." in a robotic voice. It will also do high-pitched voices, and many other combos. Trying to find a game that a large number of people can play, one that can be a great equalizer of abilities, yet is always fun? Go no further than Apples to Apples. We purchased this game a year ago and it has been so well-received by the people we play it with that now many of those same people own it themselves. What higher praise can you give to a game that you play it and then want to own it yourself? The play of Apples to Apples could not be easier. It contains nothing more than two sets of cards. Each green card has an adjective or description on it (like "Awful," "Scary," or "Scintillating")while red cards have nouns (like "Waterfalls," "The CIA," "George Washington," or "Mad Cow Disease.") Each person gets a set of red cards and each will be a judge in turn for the winning answer. The judge turns over a green card and players must play a red card from their hand that they believe will line up with the word on the green card or will appeal to that round's judge. Table talk is encouraged and makes the game more fun. The judge then decides which red card best fits the green card and the one who played the winning red card wins the round. It's that simple. The fact that everyone gets to not only play, but also judge, makes the game unpredictable. Some judges will look for the most logical match, while others may go for the absurd pairing. You can also add some other tricks, too, that enliven the game. If you have six or more people playing, you can play so that the last person to play a red card has to take his back and sit out the round--makes for quick thinking and crazy answers. We've never had a single person ever dislike this game and it is the one we reach for over Cranium, Taboo, Balderdash, and all the other party games like them. For its cleverness and simple play, Apples to Apples has won numerous awards, including Games Magazine's Top 100 Games award and a special citation from Mensa. This edition is loaded with cards and has virtually unlimited gameplay. It's the best deal for the money. It is hard to tell if this version is the one that includes the wooden box (once called "The Crate Edition"), but that nice, woodburned box is truly wonderful to have and makes the game seem even more special. Purchasing this game is a true no-brainer. It's fun for a wide variety of ages and number of players, takes no time to learn, and always plays differently from one match to the next. And it's a hoot! If there is any con, it's that the cards can get a little manhandled over time since they are not fully laminated, but that's not enough to diminish the joy this game brings. My son asked for this from Santa after seeing the commercial on t.v. So I ordered it, "played" with it, and now will have to send it back. I really didn't like some of the phrases that they put on this toy. He says things like, "Obey your king", "cower in fear", "rub my feet, and massage my tail". He has over 50 phrases and some are neat, educational facts about the T-Rex. I just wish they'd have left it at that. In the car form he says, "I drive Angry!" and "This is MY road!" I thought some of those phrases were just too odd, (not to mention rude), and not appropriate for my 5 year old, (I don't want him repeating them!) We bought this for a younger relative, and she loved it. This is why we loved it: 1. It encouraged creativity. Her creations were from her own designs, and she was inspired to keep coming up with new ones. 2. She was learning how to manage her own little project from start to finish. For each piece, there were a series of steps she had to plan an execute. A valuable lesson for the future. 3. Different colors and patterns of duct tape are readily available and inexpensive at the local craft store. Resupplying this set was easy and was a gateway to all kinds of crafts at the store. 4.
