Although these products do take several minutes to warm up completely, that's fine: I prefer a slow steady heat that'll last a long time, and that's what they do. My physical therapist had me try a foam roll at her office and suggested that I get one for home since it had been a excellent way to stretch my upper back and thoracic outlet area where I was having difficulty. Despite being "hard" (these are not comfy, squishy foam but firm) it is incredibly relaxing and offers a great stretch by simply lying on it lengthwise and opening your arms in various positions including overhead. I understand there are also exercises and other uses which might make it even more versatile, but I am happy simply lying on it for 15 minutes per day and getting a relaxing stretch to maintain my improvement with P.T. Concerning the size: I am rather short (5 feet)and the 36 inch length goes the length of my spine with a bit to spare, but a very tall person might find it difficult to "fit" on it lengthwise. This model is a more expensive than the one that my therapist uses, but has a smoothed surface in black which I prefered to have around the house, and which I thought might hold up better. The only reason that it gets 4 stars rather than 5 is that this model is really identical in feel to my therapist's $10- model now that I have tried them both. The therapist's is white and a bit fuzzy from use...but has obviously held up with much greater daily usage. The asthetic is nice but I might have saved myself some money by going with the simpler white version. Therefore, I can't say for sure that the color is worth the additional cost since the durability of either would be equal. Overall,though, this is a great product. This is an excellent anti-fog for swim googles. I can't speak to using it on SCUBA masks. (I use a different product for SCUBA!) I have one suggestion. After application, rinse the hell out of your goggles. The first time I used the anti-fog, my eyes burned, and I had to stop swimming to rinse my googles. I bought this for myself...and I am a 31 year old man...who likes to shoot some indoor hoops during the winter when its cold and there is nothing else to do. Anyway, I hard mounted this to my wall.....it is not set up for that so you need to take the door brackets off ...and you will need a drill, washers and some wood screws, a stud finder..etc. But this thing is sweet. It is like a real hoop and the thickness of the backboard doesnt matter. i have had 5 hoops before this and this is by far the best one. It will not break even with me taking 18 footers! The only downside is the ball seems a little heavy for the hoop. I am using the ball from my old hoop that is same size but lighter material....than again, i bet it holds up to the heavy ball. Highly reccomended! Edit: After A year and a half the hoop is STILL solid! This hoop has easily seen over 10,000 shots and it looks exactly the way it did when I got it. Only problem......THE BALL. Why don't they make a lighter replacement ball for this thing? The ball from my old hoop that I was using has died and it is impossible to find the same one or a light one like it that still bounces! I even offered to send my old ball into them as a prototype but they never got back to me. If anyone finds a good replacement ball please let us know! I am a runner and triathlete. 25 years old, running for the last 10 years. Consistenly 35 miles a week, 45-50 miles are my longest week of the year. I got one of these balls when I started getting toe cramps and general cramps on the bottom of my feet. I also have ITBS and have been using a foam roller for 2 years with minimal ITBS flare up. This ball saved me!!! I started using it to get rid of the toe/bottom of foot cramps. I would roll it around on the bottoms of my feet for about 5-10 minutes per foot after a run. I began to notice that my incessantly tight calves were loosening up and my ITBS needed less foam roller work. I work in a cubical and ended up bringing this ball to work so I could use it while working. I can't recommend this tool highly enough! You should be able to get it much cheaper at your local running store (less than $5). My advice. Start out gentle for about 1-2 minutes then increase intensity focusing on knotted areas. Make sure to get the furthest inner and outer portions of the bottom of the foot (this can be difficult at first but becomes much easier over time). Try gently flexing and pointing toes to find different areas of tightness on the bottom of your foot. Lastly. If after using this ball you feel how I do, write a review on Amazon. I bought these bands to use with Tony Horton's 10-Minute Trainer. For the most part these are great until you have to do a military press or an overhead tricep curl. These exercises require you to stand on the middle of the band and push all the way up until your arms are fully extended. For these exercises, the bands are too short for me and I worry how long they'll last if I keep stretching them that far. I'm 6'0" tall, so someone shorter might not have any problem. If you're 6' or taller, I would find something longer because these will disappoint. The B-Line bands used by Tony Horton for P90x and his other videos appear to be roughly twice as long as these. These are good quality bands though. The grommets are strong and the clips are metal and thus, less prone to breaking. The door attachment and ankle accessory work fine. The "instruction manual" is a little sparse and simplistic but you can't expect too much there. Suspiciously, I noticed that none of the exercises show the bands being lifted any higher than shoulder length. EDIT: I increased my review to a 4 star after using the bands a while longer and speaking to their customer service. I also got a free orange band for my call. According to customer service the bands can actually stretch safely up to 5 times their original size (their max stretch is about 40 ft. although this makes them unusable). After 3 weeks of overhead use they still show no signs of wear or tear. EDIT: Still on the fence about these. After 6 weeks of use I had to get the red band replaced after seeing several tears appear. Now I'm seeing tears in the black band and one tear in the new red band already. For an outdoor basketball, grip, durability and balance, are probably the most important considerations. Spalding's `Street' basketball ranks pretty high in those key departments. You get a nice firm grip, the durability of the pebbled finish seems to be pretty good, and you get a nice bounce on various types of hardcourts. The grip may not be as good as Spalding's NBA `Legacy' ball, but it is very close. Like many outdoor type balls, it may feel a little heavy on an indoor court. I usually do not endorse a product as "a must have" due to the diversity of personal preference in not just air soft but the firearm community... however, this item is the only exception to my rule. I got this speed loaded to compliment my MP5 with a 100-round drum and anyone with Carpel-Tunnel Syndrome can testify to, it's a real pain to load THAT much one at a time. To satisfy this problem, enter the speed loader. Pretty simple design and execution; open top hatch and insert up to 120 airsoft rounds, place nozzle on top of magazine and prime accordingly. That easy. Easily loads a 30-round magazine in less than three seconds. It's inexpensive and easy to replace if it breaks... which it shouldn't unless you took it in the field and was dumb enough to put it in your front pouch and cracked it when you dove for cover. Sounds ridiculous but I've seen it done by the Air Force guys I play with. But let's face it; if you only have so many magazines/drums you're going to want a speed loader to make emergency quick-loads in the field and what better way than to carry it with you. I strongly suggest you carry it in a side pouch; I carry mine in my BDU pant leg pocket below my hip holster for easy access although I try to carry more magazines in my tactical vest to avoid using it as a last resort. I strongly recomend against placing it in a pouch in front of you like in a tactical vest since it's made of plastic, not metal. Lastly a warning; don't go too overboard with the primer. Sometimes if you're not watching it you'll overload the magazine/drum and spray airsoft all over whereever you happen to be and either you've wasted ammo or you have to clean it up... unless you're at a friends house, let them clean it up. ;). this is my MetalTac Airsoft Speed Loader with Capacity of 100 Bbs reviews

The Coleman XPS High-Tech LED is a full-size lantern that puts out only a fair amount of light at 190 lumens. This is enough to see what you are doing near the lantern, but it is not really adequate for reading or other tasks that require decent light. For comparison, a 60-Watt incandescent light bulb produces about 800 lumens, and dual-mantle propane or liquid fuel lanterns are in the range of 800-1300 lumens. So this LED lantern is not going to light up a campsite very well. However, for a light inside a tent or as an emergency light at home it would be adequate (and much safer than a propane or liquid fuel lantern.) Like many LED lights, the light produced by the lantern is a somewhat unnatural blue-white hue. It does have a diffuser tube around the LEDs; some other LED lanterns don't have this and so their light is quite harsh. The outer clear housing is made of plastic so it won't shatter, however, it can be easily scratched. Strangely, one of the Coleman High-Tech lanterns that I bought was somewhat brighter and a slightly different hue than the other one - perhaps this is a quality control issue. Unlike some of the other Coleman LED lanterns, this lantern allows you to adjust the light continuously with a dial rather than just having a high and low setting. (It actually has about six light settings as you move the dial.) On the highest dial setting, the box says that regular alkaline batteries will last for up to 25 hours, and up to 300 hours on low. The instructions say intermittent operation gives longer life than continuous operation. Also, this model has round mirror reflectors on the bottom and top of the LED tube; some of the other Coleman LED lanterns don't have this. Because of these features, I think the High-Tech is better than the other Coleman 190 lumen LED lanterns that use the "Classic" design style (that is, they look like propane lanterns.) Besides the standard use of four D-cell batteries, this lantern can take the optional Coleman XPS rechargeable battery module (about $20). It snaps in the bottom of the lantern in place of the regular battery case. The module can be recharged from a regular 110 Volt electrical outlet or a 12 Volt car cigarette lighter (which is handy for car camping). However, it doesn't last as long as four regular alkaline batteries. It only lasts about seven hours on high and 14 hours on low. The battery polarity marks, "+" and "-", inside the battery case are hard to see, and impossible in low light. (You can't tell the polarity from the springs or contacts either since they are all the same orientation.) It is easy to put in the batteries backwards, which might damage the light. You could put a stick-on label on the battery case cover to show the correct battery orientation. The battery case easily pops out by pressing on two tabs, and then the case has a flip-top lid. You then just press the case back in and it locks in place with the tabs. This is better than some other designs for putting in the batteries. However, you have to insert the case in the proper orienation; it is possible to get it stuck if you insert it incorrectly. In summary, this is a decent LED lantern, but the light it produces is only fair and definitely not bright. It really is only good for temporary emergency lighting at home if the power goes out or for inside a tent. There are other brighter LED lanterns available, although most all have other disadvantages. I had the Harbinger 3/8" mat before this one, so can compare the two. This one is made of a thicker foam, and it does not slide around on wood floors (or at least only a little). Big plus when doing sit-ups. In the picture it looks like it is ribbed, but the ribs are actually very small, so not anything to consider one way or the other. I actually thought the bottom would be ribbed, and that was why it would not move around, but that is not the case. It is just that the foam is not slick like the Harbinger mat. The 'carrying case' is just the straps you see in the picture. They slide off/on the mat, which is nice, as you can just set them aside. With the Harbinger mat the straps are glued on, and that did me no good as I most often have the mat unrolled at home, and the straps would get in the way. All-in-all this is a higher quality mat than the Harbinger mat. If I was to knock it, I guess I could say that the foam is almost too dense. The purpose of any LED tail light is to make sure cars coming up behind you know you're there. The Planet Bike Blinky 3 does a fine job at that, stays put, has great battery life and doesn't cost much. You get two mounting options - a big cheap plastic clip for the seat post and a smaller clip for a rear side strut. I put mine on the seat post. In past years when I had a baby seat I would have used the side strut. You also get two settings - steady and blinking. That's the only negative in my book. I can't imagine using anything but blinking. This is pretty much a no brainer. My wife's has been through almost 8 years of abuse and has had only one battery change. I didn't think twice when it was time for my bike and my son's to get this safety enhancement. I now bike a lot during the late night. I haven't had a close call with a car coming up from my rear yet. Enough said. Update - 8 months later (6/5/09): I added a bike rack over my rear wheel and had to re-mount this because the rack's cargo obscured the seat post. Neither included mount fit the small gauge bars of the rack. I was able to use the small mounting clip by adding a small strip of black rubber (cut from an old inner tube scrap I had lying around). Because of the orientation of the rack's bars my light is now sideways. This arrangement works fine for me. The video is a updated video after having this mattress 10 months and sleeping on it every single day. I have only had this mattress a week now but have run several tests on it. The first thing is at the end of this review I put the warranty from Wenzel. Nobody ever talks about the warranty on air mattresses. I also called the number below and talk to a customer service rep about the mattress. I am required to sleep on an air mattress because of my medical condition so I have had a lot of air mattresses in the last ten years. All air mattress leak air! They are not really leaks such as a puncture. The vinyl has pores in it so they leak down, some worse than other depending on the quality of the vinyl. I have owned air mattresses cheaper than this one and much more expensive than this one. My experience on air mattresses that you either get a good one or a bad one no matter what you pay for it. The worst trouble I had with any air mattress was one that cost over $400.00. This insta bed with the never flat is the one to own. Forget the ones with the remote control. You have to inflate or deflate the mattress with the remote but you can never get the mattress to be the same exact consistency from the last time you filled it up. Waking up in the middle of the night to inflate the bed is a pain in the you know what. This bed has only three settings. It has plush, medium, and firm. If you need more than this than you need to go sleep on a cloud in heaven. The first thing I did was inflate the bed like the instructions say. That right folks I read instructions! I selected firm and turned it on. This bed will turn itself off when it reaches the right firmness so you don't have to sit and watch it and worry about over inflating which ruins the mattress. I let it sit for 4 hours unplugged than I plugged it back in. The never flat pump came on and ran exactly one and a half minutes and shut off. The air that is being pump into the mattress is actually warm air that relaxes the vinyl. Some people say the never flat pump is loud. All I can say on the bed I received I can't even hear it at all. I only know it is running because of the red light that lights up. I Velcro a yard stick to the side of the bed at the exact height of my table in the bedroom. I laid down on the bed and the yard stick drop ½ inch below the table and the never flat pump came on. In one minute the never flat pump had the bed right back up to the height of the table top and turn itself off. I don't know how long all this electronic stuff will last but if it does you won't have to inflate or deflate anything ever again. I deflated the air mattress and it is automatic. It not only sucks ever drop of air out of the mattress but shuts itself off. It fits easily right back into the duffel bag it comes with. Well only time will tell how well it holds up but right now I think it is great. These goggles are hands-down the single most comfortable pair of goggles I have ever worn. They are soft, fit my eyes perfectly, never leave me with raccoon eyes, and are really comfortable. Not "not discomfortable", actually comfortable. They don't leak at all. They are really dynamite, I never even bother to take out my contacts when I swim with these. They would be a perfect 5/5 stars, except that they fog so, so much, more than any other pair of goggles I have ever owned. They fog unbelieveably quickly, and refog very soon after rinsing. I bought three pairs. The first lasted not quite an hour (my normal swim length) before fogging up. In that time I had the clearest, best view I've ever experienced with any pair of goggles. But after that time, they would completely fog up by my second lap. I could rinse them and they would refog by the end of that lap. After three or four uses, I returned them to the store, exchanged them for a new set, and had exactly the same problem with the second pair starting with the second swim. I returned those, ordered a pair from Amazon, and had exactly the same problem on the very first use, so I infer that this is not a single bad batch but a common problem. I swim in an outdoor, heated pool, but the air temperature can be anywhere from ~45/50 to ~75. I never touch the inside of my goggles, always rinse them before and after in fresh, nonchlorinated water, kept them in a case, follow all the good practices that are supposed to limit/delay fogging problems. I have been as good to these goggles as possible, and they still fog up. My cheaper, much less comfortable TYRs that I leave in my gym bag, which are scratched and sometimes leak a little, never fog, and so I have been using those more and more often. Last month I bought a 40oz Klean Kanteen bottle and a 33oz Sigg bottle. In the end I prefer the Klean Kanteen. Both bottles are very light and look good. The Sigg is lighter, but not so much to really matter. Sigg wins easily in the looks department with different artwork to choose from and the bottle I have has a nice textured powder coat finish compared to the KK basic look and smooth surface. Sigg uses an epoxy to protect your water from the aluminum and tells you not to use the bottle for long term storage. Could be a bit worrisome not knowing what's in the epoxy and the possibility of aluminum contamination. I have not noticed a metallic taste from either bottle drinking straight unfiltered tap water. I prefer the stainless steel of the KK just because it's probably on the safer side. The bottles are both lightweight and made of thin metal. I haven't dented either but I have been very careful with them. Both feel like they would dent quite easily. I have not scratched either bottle and the paint on both looks like new after daily use from work to the gym. The KK bottle has the cap threading formed into the neck of the bottle while the Sigg uses a metal ring insert in the top of the bottle to thread the cap onto. Some people have complained that the Sigg's threaded insert is sharp, but I have not had this problem. The KK is more comfortable to drink from though. Also the wide mouth of the bottle makes it easy to put ice cubes in, which you can't do with the Sigg unless you have very small ice cubes. I have the loop cap on both bottles. The Sigg I really have to twist the cap on tight so it doesn't leak. The KK cap seals quite easily and has never leaked. The KK also uses a thicker thread size and is easier to screw the cap onto because of this. Some people are complaining about sweating. On a hot day with the bottles filled with ice cubes both will sweat, but plastic bottles will also. If I was going to spend that much money on a water bottle again, I would go with Klean Kanteen without a second thought. The only advantage of the Siggs is the exterior design. Update Dec 09: Over a year of use now and I have stopped using the Sigg due to their older bottles do in fact have BPA. Something they said it didn't have, so I won't buy another bottle from them again since it appears they were lying before. They will replace the older bottles, but you have to pay shipping. I bought an E100 from Amazon for my 7-year-old son about 45 days ago. I can tell you that only rain and wet roads have prevented him from riding it daily! At first, my wife and I questioned my judgment in buying it for him. The first time he got on it, he lost control of it had a bad-looking crash. He hopped up unharmed though, so we gave him some time to learn. Every day since then, I have found him being diligent to charge it and eager to ride it. So, here's my list of pros and cons. Pros: 1. The battery lasts a good hour of uphill/downhill riding. 2. The large, pneumatic tire up front makes quick work of bumps and rocks. 3. The wide standing surface allows for his feet to be together, side-by-side, if he wants. 4. The scooter is sturdy and solid. 5. The handlebars and shaft can be separated from the body for transport. 6. It's quick enough for fun, but not so fast as to be dangerous. 7. It ships in two pieces: Handlbars/shaft assembly and the main body. Attaching the two pieces is all the assembling that's necessary. Cons: 1. The brake is insufficient. It will eventually stop the scooter, but don't let your kid(s) rely on it. Teach them to steer out of situations and release the throttle. It will not stop my 9-year-old (65 lbs) son when he's rolling down our slightly sloped driveway. Of course, the effectiveness of the brake is directly proportional to the strength of the rider's grip, but the gripping power of kids in this age group is probably less than what this scooter-brake combo needs. 2. The rear wheel is like one on a regular Razor scooter - solid and slick. This works well on most dry surfaces, but be careful because it can and will slide in more situations than a grooved, rubber tire would. 3. The drive chain attaches on right side of the back wheel, and it has a cover over it. That sounds like it should be a good thing, but the cover is actually so large that it prevents most right turns. If you turn more than just a little to the right, the cover will make contact with the road, and the back wheel will lose contact with the road. Notes: 1. There is an on/off switch on the battery. 2. The motor engages after the scooter reaches 3 mph. 3. The manual recommends charging the scooter for 12-18 hrs. 4. The scooter is heavy enough to render it useless without the motor. Don't expect that your kid will continue to use it as a push scooter when the battery dies. 5. The scooter did NOT ship in plain packaging. It shipped in just the scooter box. It was for my son's birthday, and the surprise was nearly spoiled when delivery came. Summary: This scooter is a good buy for the money, and so long as you are aware of the issues that come with it, it will make for a fun toy. My son still tells me that this scooter is the best present he has ever received! For many years now, I have carried one of these small Swiss Army knives on each of my two key rings - one for work and one for home. Barely a day goes by when I do not take one of them out of my pocket to use once or twice - to quickly file down a broken nail, to tweeze out a small splinter, to cut open a small item with the scissor of something larger by cutting the wrapping tape with the knife blade - the toothpick is used daily! I cannot imagine being without one. Of course, I own larger and more multi-purpose knives, but when it comes to carrying something this handy on a key chain or ring, you just can't beat them! There are two major (authorized) manufacturers of Swiss Army knives: Victorinox, the maker of this particular favorite of mine and Wenger, a reliable alternative brand that makes many similar and some even nearly identical models. I have used both over the years and have found there to be absolutely no appreciable differences in the quality, durability or pricing of the knives. With so many models to choose from, it probably makes sense to decide which features you need and then shop both brands for the best price you can find. But back to the knife at hand, the SA Classic SD Pocket Knife. This is the one of the smallest knives in the Victorinox line. Measuring only about 2 1/4" long and about 1/4" wide, it adds little by way of heft to a key ring. It is a compact knife containing a total of 6 equally compact tools. This is not for the big things. This is a small knife with small tools to deal with small things. With expectations appropriately set, it is unsurpassed in it's usefulness as a basic daily tool. The Tools There are compartments on the outer casing of knife - each containing a small appliance. One is home to a small white toothpick that I have found to be entirely satisfactory - except that after a year or two of use, I seem to lose them. I think the molded shape wears a bit over time and repeated use and no longer holds itself snugly in the allotted compartment. They can be easily and inexpensively replaced though at any fully stocked retailer of the knives. On the opposite side of the knife is a compartment housing a micro-tweezer. Because it is so very small and light, it cannot be used as a regular tweezer, but only for light-duty needs. These include, I am pleased to report, removing small splinters and picking up objects too small for my increasingly clumsy fingers! There are three tools that fold into the knife itself, one of which has two uses - actually providing a total of four useful mini-tools. These include 1) a flat spring loaded scissor, a regular blade and a nail file (which, as a guitar picker, I use almost daily) topped with the fourth tool, a screw driver head, small enough to be used for either flat screws or Phillips head screws - providing that they are small enough. Don't misunderstand - the smallness of the tools does not render them either token or useless, but their size is a factor in their usability in real day-to-day life. Maintenance This is nearly a non sequitor, but in the interests of completeness, I will briefly address it. Years have gone by before anything beyond simple removal of dust and cleaning the instruments is required. One time, a blade seemed to be sticking just a tad and a quick and very short burst of WD40 took care of it - permanently. The knife is build to last until you decide you no longer want or need it. Value There are few things in life built for frequent use without planned obsolescence being figured into their design. This little pocket tool set is, happily, among them. For somewhere around $9., you can have something actually skillfully made that will serve you well and for a good long time. How many things can any of us really say that about?
